Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The ribbon cutting will launch the Grand Opening of the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence. Utah Lt. Governor Spencer Cox, Sorenson Legacy Foundation President Joseph Sorenson, USU President Noelle Cockett and Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services Dean Beth Foley will be speaking. With this ceremony, the Sorenson Center will officially open, allowing a remarkable vision of interdisciplinary approach to training, research, and the delivery of clinical services across the human lifespan to begin unfolding.

Open Tours

Tours of the Sorenson Center will present an opportunity for residents of Cache Valley and the surrounding region, as well as members of the USU community, to explore this state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot facility. The building includes a nursing simulation lab, a hydrotherapy pool, a gross motor room, a hearing and balance clinic, a memory clinic, early childhood education classrooms, behavioral health therapy rooms, a speech-language clinic, a café, and a teaching kitchen. With focused outreach to low-income and underserved minority populations, thousands of individuals, couples, and families across Utah and the region will benefit.

Grand Opening Gala

At this crowning event of our Grand Opening, we are thrilled to welcome world-renowned street dancer Chris Fonseca, who is deaf. Chris is based in London and performs all over the world—he is a living example of what can be accomplished through hard work and perseverance. We will be privileged to have the USU Chamber Singers performing three numbers for us under the talented direction of Cory Evans. This event is free and open to all; complimentary Aggie Ice Cream will be served.
